Deliberation concludes on the Third Reading of Customs Bill of Bhutan 2015

The deliberation on the Third Reading on the Customs Bill of Bhutan 2015 continued today in the National Assembly. The house deliberated on each section of the Bill along with the 49 recommendations submitted by the Economic Development and Private Sector Committee (ED&PS). Most of the recommendations submitted by the Committee were accepted by the house following thorough deliberation except for Section 158 and 185 which was retained as in the Bill.

 

Section 153 and 155 pertaining to Appeal Committee and Appeal Board were directed to the committee to revisit the section and report back to the house tomorrow before adoption.  

 

The Bills will be moved to be passed tomorrow on 7th June 2016.
