Posted on :09 September 2021

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) along with a team from the Royal Audit Authority led by the Deputy Auditor General continued its consultative meeting with Autonomous Agencies, Corporations and NGOs at the Lhen-zom Khangzang in the National Assembly  to discuss the unresolved financial irregularities as reported in the Annual Audit Report 2020.

Today, the meeting was held with the Gross National Happiness Commission, Tourism Council of Bhutan, Election Commission of Bhutan, National Land Commission Secretariat,  Royal Civil Service Commission, Bhutan Agro Industries Limited, Bhutan Power Corporation Limited & Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting could resolve some issues and the remaining unresolved issues were directed to be resolved by 31st October 2021. Since most of the cases are sub judice, PAC directed the concerned agencies to follow up with the Court in resolving the same.
