Government updates Parliament on the COVID 19 Response and Readiness.

The Government made a presentation on the updates of responses and readiness with regard to COVID-19 pandemic to the Members of Parliament on 30th July 2020. During the presentation, the ministry of health highlighted the national situation, significant COVID-19 national intervention, uniqueness of Bhutan in handling the pandemic situation, immediate risks and priorities for Bhutan, community transmission mitigation strategy, lockdown and also on COVID-19 vaccines. The presentation also included details on the National COVID-19 Incident Command Structure under consideration and emphasized the need to take responsibility, with or without COVID-19, our Gyenkhu.

The update presentation was attended by the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chairperson of the National Council, the Members and the staff of the National Assembly and the National Council of Bhutan at the RUB Conference Hall.

The presentation was followed by a question and answer session where the doubts and the opinions from those present were clarified by the Prime Minister.
