Prime Minister Presents Annual State of the Nation Report to the Parliament

As per article 10 (10) of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan, the Prime Minister Lyonchhen Dr. Lotay Tshering presented the Annual Report on the State of the Nation including legislative plans and priorities of the Government to the Joint Sitting of the  Parliament today.


The Report  was presented in three sections, Section I - In Gratitude, Section II- State of the Nation and Section III - Way Ahead. The Report highlighted the state of health and education, the economy, priority sectors, culture, environment, public infrastructure and services, governance, women and children, news media and foreign relations. The Prime Minister also reported to the house on the  future plans and the way forward in fulfillment of the commitments made by the government.


After the Adjournment of the Joint Sitting of the Parliament and the Report on the State of the Nation, the National Assembly ratified the National Assembly Resolution.
