The first meeting of the House Committee of the National Assembly of the Third Parliament was held on 30th November 2018 where the Committee unanimously elected Hon’ble Dorji Wangdi, Member from Pangbang constituency as the Chairperson and Hon’ble Gyem Dorji, Member from Draateng Langthel constituency as the Vice Chairperson.
Following an extensive discussion on the appointment of Chairperson the Members expressed concerns over the future issues pertaining to conflict of interest of the Dy. Speaker. In view of this issue the Dy. Speaker resigned from the House committee. Presently there are eleven members in the Committee.
The Secretariat presented the Committee’s Terms of Reference.
