Presentation on the Annual Audit Report 2016 and other Reports by the RAA

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) organized a presentation from Royal Audit Authority (RAA) on 6th July, 2017 in the National Assembly Conference Hall. The presentations were made on Annual Audit Report 2016 and 6 Performance Audit Reports. The programme was organized in line with the Rules of Procedure (Amendment) 2016 of the PAC. The presentation was attended by the Honorable Members of both the National Assembly (16 members including Secretary General) and the National Council (8 members) led by the Honorable Speaker, Ministers for Works and Human Settlement, and Minister for Economic Affairs.

The officials from the RAA made a presentation on the following reports which were tabled during the 9th session of the 2nd Parliament. The presentation was organized with the objective of creating awareness to the Honorable Members on these reports. These reports are to be reviewed and presented to the Parliament in its 10th session by the PAC. The presentation was followed by the question and answer session on some of the significant areas. The presentations were made on the followings;

1.         Annual Audit Report 2016

2.         Performance Audit report of Tourism Sector

3.         Performance Audit of Food Corporation of Bhutan Ltd.

4.         Performance Audit on Employment Generation and Promotion Initiatives

5.         Performance Audit Report on Provision of Patient Meals

6.         Performance Audit Report on School Feeding Programme

7.         Performance Audit Report of Business Opportunities and Information Centre (BOiC).


The presentation concluded with thanking note by Honorable Speaker and PAC Chairperson.
