National Assembly of Bhutan conducts Post Session Plenary

Following the conclusion of the Sixth Session of the Third Parliament, the Members of the National Assembly met for the Post Plenary Session in the Lhen-zom Khangzang Conference Hall today. The meeting was chaired by the Hon'ble Speaker.

 

The plenary discussed issues related to constituency visit and its protocol, office space for Members of Parliament, strengthening of National Assembly as an Institution, enhancement of the oversight function of the Parliament, post-session committee works and upcoming Bills for discussion.

 

The plenary also discussed the nomination of members for Joint Committees on the disputed clauses of Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2021, Civil Society Organization (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2021 and United Nations Convention Against Corruption (Amendment). The plenary also discussed and approved the proposal to celebrate National Occasions.
