Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bhutan calls on the Hon’ble Speaker

Ambassador Sudhakar Dalela of India to Bhutan called on the Hon’ble Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan today.
The Ambassador thanked the Hon’ble Speaker for the warm hospitality and congratulated the Parliament of Bhutan for the successful conduct of the 8th Session of the Third Parliament which passed many landmark bills. He also commended the solidarity of the Members of the National Assembly while discussing matters of national importance during the Session despite the differences in their political ideologies.
They discussed on the Bhutanese Parliamentary Delegation to India which is scheduled during the 1st week of February 2023, the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Parliament of Bhutan and the Parliament of India, and the scope for the capacity building of the Parliamentarians and the parliamentary Secretariat officials among many others to further strengthen and consolidate the strong bond between the two countries.
Ambassador Sudhakar Dalela assumed office on 11 August 2022.
