Ministry of Information and Communication (MoIC) presents the Air Services Agreement between Bhutan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Hon’ble Members of the National Assembly.

On the request of the  National Assembly Secretariat, a team led by the Offtg Secretary of  the Ministry of Information and Communication (MoIC) and Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) made a presentation to the Members of the National Assembly  on Air Services Agreement between Bhutan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) today at the National Assembly Conference Hall.

 

The team presented on objectives, background, advantages, disadvantages, obligation and implications on domestic laws with the signing of the Agreement. During the presentation, some Hon’ble Members raised concerns on possible social and environmental impacts to which MoIC  clarified that such concerns were also raised and taken into consideration during the stakeholders consultation meeting.

 

The Air Services Agreement between Bhutan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) is to be tabled  in the the upcoming session for ratification.
