National Assembly of Second Parliament dissolves today

The incumbent National Assembly of the Second Parliament dissolved today after successful completion of its five year term.

The National Assembly convenes its term-end sitting at 4.30 PM in the Parliament Hall. Tshogpon Jigme Zangpo received the “Ku-Sung-Thukten” of His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo from Trashichodzong to the Parliament Hall. The Speaker read out  and signed the Term- End Order, officially declaring the the End-Of-Term of the Second National Assembly. The  Speaker and the members led by the venerable Dorji Lopon offered Gyalpoi Zhapten and Tashi Moenlam. The venerable Lopon received the Tashi Khadar from the Speaker and offered it to the Golden Throne.

The National Assembly Members after the Tashi Moenlam ceremony, changed their Kabney relinquishing their roles as Members of Parliament.
