National Assembly finalizes the Agenda for the 11th Session of Second Parliament

The National Assembly of Bhutan convened its Preliminary Meeting today to finalize the Agenda for the 11th Session of Second Parliament. The preliminary meeting, attended by 35 members, was presided over by Tshogpon Jigme Zangpo.


The 11th Session of National Assembly will be deliberating on the Interim Budget for FY 2018-2019 along with Fiscal Performance for FY 2016-17 and the revised budget for FY 2017-18 and the follow-up report on the Implementation of the 10th Session resolutions. Furthermore, the House will also be deliberating on disputed clauses of the Audit Bill of Kingdom of Bhutan 2017. In addition, Prime Minister will be presenting an Annual Report on the State of the Nation to the joint sitting of Parliament as required under Article 10, Section 10 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan.


The 11th Session of the Parliament will commence from 15th June 2018.
