Preliminary Meeting for the discussion of the Agenda for the 10th Session of the Second Parliament

A Preliminary meeting for the discussion and finalization of the Agenda for the 10th Session of the Second Parliament was held today at the Gyelyong Tshogkhang Conference Hall.


The Session will be deliberating on the Royal Audit Bill, 2017, Tax Bill 2017, and the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement

The Private Sector Development Committee will also table a Report on Employment and Healthy Aging.  The Public Accounts Committee will be reporting on the Annual Audit report 2016, Review of Annual Report 2009-2015 and Review of Performance Audit Report such as the  Performance Audit Reports on Business opportunity and information center (BOIC), Performance Audit on Employment generation and promotion initiatives,  Performance Audit Reports on Food Cooperation of Bhutan Ltd, Performance Audit Reports on Provision of patient Meals, Performance Audit Reports on School feeding program, Performance Audit of Tourism Sector, December 2016.

Petitions that were received from Gasa, Pemagatshel, Zhemgang, Samtse, Thimphu, Dagana and Wangduephodrang from were also discussed in detail and forwarded to the relevant and concerned Ministries and Agencies for necessary action.  However, it was decided that the House would discuss the issue submitted from Pemagatshel regarding the need to revise the Road Safety and Transport Authority Act to allow the trucks to carry load more than 8 metric tons.

The 10th Session of the Parliament will commence from 15th November 2017.
