The Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Hon Choida Jamtsho presented the report of the Royal Audit Authority (RAA) on Public Debt Management to the joint sitting of Parliament. The report was reviewed by the PAC considering significant audit findings.

His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo granted dhar to Mr. Kinzang Wangdi, former Secretary General of the National Assembly to the post of Cabinet Secretary on 8th April 2015 in Tashichhodzong. Mr. Kinzang Wangdi served as the Secretary General of the National Assembly for almost three years after he was appointed to the post by His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo on 1st June 2012.

The Ambassador of Egypt H.E. Mr. Hatem El Sayed Tageldin called on the Hon Speaker Jigme Zangpo on 6th March, 2015 at the Gyelyong Tshokhang. Ambassador Hatem expressed that he was honoured to have been granted audience by His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo. The Chairperson informed that the report was mainly based on the review conducted on human rights issues pertaining to declaration of the identity of loan defaulters in media and issues pertaining to Drayangs. On behalf of the people of Dagana Dzongkhag, the Member from Drujegang-Tseza submitted that a man involved in consensual sex with a girl between the age ranges of 16-18 is charged with rape if the girl later files a complaint to the court. He expressed that it was unfair to the person accused in such scenario and submitted if the House could revisit the relevant provisions of the Penal Code.
