The out-going UN RR in Bhutan, Ms. Christina Carlson made a farewell call-on Tshogpon Jigme Zangpo at Gyelyong Tshokhang this afternoon. Ms. Christina expressed her sincere condolences for recent flood disaster affecting whole country.

Prime Minister presents Annual State of Nation Report

Today, the Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay presented the annual report of the government to the Druk Gyalpo and the joint sitting of Parliament. The report was presented as per article 10 (10) of the Constitution of Bhutan.

Annual RAA’s Reports Tabled in the Joint Sitting Today

As per the Section 5, Article 25 of the Constitution, the Royal Audit Authority submitted its Annual Audit Report 2015 along with Performance Audit Reports on: Gewog Development Grant, Disaster Management, and Business Income Tax Administration 2016.


Unlike in the past, the procedure of tabling RAA’s Report to the Parliament was streamlined by tabling the Reports to all the members in the house, an hour before the presentation…....

Bhutan Red Cross Society Bill 2016 introduced

The Chairperson of the Legislative Committee introduced the Bhutan Red Cross Society Bill 2016 for First and Second Reading to the National Assembly today. He said that the Bill is a historical Bill which is a Private Member's Bill introduced in the National Council by the Eminent Member Tashi Wangmo and accordingly sent to National Assembly.
