Adoption process of Supplementary Budget Appropriation Bill 2015-16 questioned

After the Opposition  Party Members questioned the house yesterday on the legality of the process in which the Supplementary Budget Appropriation Bill 2015-16 being endorsed together with the Budget Appropriation Bill, the house asked the Finance Committee to review and recommend for course of action.

The National Assembly today re-deliberated on recommendations on Annual Budget 2016-17 from the National Council.  The National Council made recommendations on three broad categories, Supplementary Budget Appropriation Bill for FY 2015-16, Budget Appropriation Bill for 2016-17 and on Revised Taxes.

National Assembly Adopted the Civil Aviation Bill 2015 today

As per the Rules of procedure, the Minister of Communication and Information, moved the motion in the house today for adoption of the Civil Aviation Bill 2015. Minister informed the house that there has been extensive consultation outside of the house and intensive deliberation in the house on the bill since 5th session.

The Chairperson of Joint Committee presented its report on the 23 disputed clauses of the Jabmi (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2014 to the Joint Sitting of the Parliament today. The House after a thorough deliberation on few sections passed the Bill with 60 Members voting in favour of the Bill while 3 Members voted ‘No’.
